How do I care for the pottery?

My pottery is created for everyday use in the home. After throwing on the wheel, each piece is biscuit fired, glazed and then high fired in an electric kiln to 1260 degrees. This means that they are food safe, dishwasher safe, oven proof and stain resistant. Like all ceramics though, they are not shatter proof and will break if dropped onto a hard surface.

How is your pottery made?

All of my pottery is handmade, wheel thrown porcelain created by myself, in my own studio. Every piece is unique. Although I am a perfectionist, as with most handmade ceramics there may be minor imperfections or very slight variations from the photographs. Such imperfections are not considered to be flaws, they simply reflect the unique character of each piece and are a natural part of the pottery process.

What are your postage and packaging procedures?

I aim to pack and post all orders within three working days of receipt of payment for items in stock. For custom orders and wholesale I will contact you when it is ready for dispatch.

I aim to pack and dispatch all orders for ceramics that are in stock within three working days of ordering. For UK customers, I use either the UPS Standard (Signed For) service that takes 1 to 2 working days to deliver or MyHermes that takes 2 to 3 days.

I aim to pack and dispatch all orders for ceramics that are in stock within three working days of ordering. For International customers, I usually use either the Parcelforce Global Priority or UPS (Signed For) services that typically take two to five working days to deliver.

IMPORTANT: For International Orders for delivery outside of the UK all customs charges, local import taxes and duty fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please ensure you find out what these are before ordering. If the customer refuses to pay local taxes, charges, duties etc then the parcel will eventually be returned to me. I will then refund the order, deducting the original shipping fee and a processing charge of £20.

Please note that I cannot take responsibility for the postal services. At busy times, such as Christmas, orders can take longer. Please allow extra time if possible at busy periods or for special deadlines such as birthdays, because delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

An order will not be considered lost in the post until one month has passed.

A great deal of time, effort and love goes into the making of every single piece so I really do want to make sure you receive your ceramics in perfect condition! I take great care with packaging and your order will be wrapped as securely as possible.
